Job summary

You will evaluate donor vitals, operate plasmapheresis equipment, and ensure safe handling of specimens while maintaining precise records and participating in QA initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, write English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred (location specific).
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions, and manuals.
  • Ability to understand verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations (FDA SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, GMP).
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and ensure a positive donor experience.
  • Assess donor eligibility including vitals, testing, and registration.
  • Monitor donor conditions for safety and product quality.
  • Set up and operate plasmapheresis equipment, troubleshoot alarms, respond to adverse events.
  • Collect, process, and store plasma products per SOPs and regulations.
  • Maintain donor center equipment and perform QC checks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and manage supplies, proper biohazard disposal.
  • Provide accurate records per SOPs and policy.
  • Train staff as designated trainer; work with QA on CAPA and improvements.
  • Perform inventory tasks (FIFO) to ensure product availability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
