CSL Plasma is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and to provide limited emergency medical care in a plasma donation center. The role includes donor interviews, medical history reviews, and collaboration with the Center Medical Director on donor eligibility.

Responsibilities include reviewing test results, counseling donors with reactive findings, and escalating serious medical situations per SOPs.

Competenze

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, licensure as physician or state EMT certification may be required.
• Minimum of one year in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to perform/interpret physical assessment including heart and lung sounds and signs of drug use.

Mansioni

• Under general supervision, evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provides limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments per licensure or certification.
• Interviews donors and performs medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• In conjunction with the Center Medical Director, responds to medically related questions and informs staff on donor suitability.
• Reviews test results and determines continued donor suitability; assesses donor symptoms affecting donation.
• Notifies and counsels donors regarding reactive test results; refers donors to community facilities for follow-up.
• Provides routine care following SOPs; escalates critical medical situations to Center Physician or local medical service providers as required.
