Job summary

CSL is seeking a medical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures in a center setting. You will interview donors, perform medical history reviews, and determine eligibility for plasma donation under supervision.

Responsibilities include providing limited emergency medical care, interpreting test results, and consulting with the Center Medical Director on donor suitability. You will also counsel donors on reactive results and escalate critical cases per SOPs.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign allopathic or osteopathic medical school, must be licensed as a physician or state EMT certification.
• NY: licensure or RN/MD/DO in the applying state or reciprocal state.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Experience in plasma/whole blood collection or regulated environments preferred.
• Ability to perform and interpret basic physical assessments (heart, lungs, signs of drug use).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director to address donor questions.
• Review test results to determine ongoing donor suitability.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
• Adhere to SOPs and escalate critical situations to physicians or local providers.
