Job summary

CSL Plasma in Nogales, AZ is seeking a Plasma Donor Center Technician to perform venipuncture and manage the pheresis process in a fast-paced setting. You will follow SOPs, monitor donors for safety, document data, and help educate donors about the donation process while maintaining a clean, compliant environment.

You will work to ensure donor safety, accuracy, and efficiency, with emphasis on high-quality care and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent.
• Ability to perform venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process per SOPs.
• Maintain safety, data accuracy and donor confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection with donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis, following FDA guidelines.
• Evaluate vein performance and adjust to expedite donation while ensuring safety.
• Educate donors about the donation process and provide answers to questions.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist or escalate as needed.
• Record incidents using PDA and document machine alarms or donor events.
• Calibrate equipment and respond to maintenance and alarm issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and manage incident documentation.
• Monitor donor flow on the floor and communicate flow issues to leadership.
• Collect arm or whole blood samples for testing and document donor data.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed; bilingual skills may be required.
