Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking an experienced plasma collection technician to perform venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process, ensuring donor safety and process efficiency. You will follow SOPs, educate donors on the process, and document donor information in the required systems.

This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety guidelines, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues on the floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture to begin pheresis and monitor the donor during the procedure.
• Set up donor, monitor during donation, and disconnect donor following SOPs.
• Maintain donor safety by identifying vein issues and making adjustments to expedite donation times.
• Educate donors on the donation process, tests, fees, policies, and nutrition as applicable.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment alarms and perform routine calibrations and maintenance as outlined in SOPs.
• Ensure a clean work environment and sufficient supplies; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
