Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Plasma Donor Collection Technician to conduct venipuncture and oversee pheresis procedures with strict SOP adherence. You will monitor donors, educate them on the process, and ensure data accuracy in the donor information system.

The role requires a high school diploma and 12 months in a medical setting, with CA-specific licensure options for phlebotomy or RN credentials. Work is performed at CSL Plasma centers in the U.S., with a focus on safety and donor experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • For Centers located in CA the following experience is also required: State certified as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician I, OR Current Registered Nurse by the State of California.

Responsibilities

  • Collect plasma from donors via venipuncture and monitor the pheresis process following SOPs.
  • Perform pheresis procedures including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect in compliance with SOPs and FDA guidelines.
  • Monitor donor vein performance and adjust processes to ensure efficient donation and donor safety.
  • Educate new donors on plasma products, screening tests, appointment systems, fees, policies, and donor queries.
  • Record donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to HSE/OSHA policies.
