Job summary

CSL Vifor in Schenectady, NY is seeking a donor services assistant to welcome donors and guide them through the screening process for plasma pheresis. You will verify health history, perform basic health checks, and record data in our donor information system with accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Greet donors at the plasma collection center and assist with screening procedures.
Assess self-administered health history and answer medical questions related to donation.
Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature, and finger stick for hematocrit and total protein levels.
Educate donors on the screening process, center policies, nutrition, and information related to donor education after training.
Register donors and transfers as needed and answer incoming calls or transfer to appropriate staff.
Maintain donor data confidentiality and enter data accurately into the donor information management system.
