Job summary

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • CSL Plasma DST training completed.
  • External candidates must have 6 months phlebotomy experience; 1 year preferred.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in a medical/health care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • In compliance with SOPs, performs all aspects of the pheresis procedure and plasma collection, including donor set-up, donor monitoring and donor disconnect.
  • Follows FDA guidelines while performing venipuncture to begin the pheresis process.
  • Evaluates vein performance and corrects to expedite donation time and ensure donor safety.
  • Educates new donors on therapeutic products, screening, and center policies.
  • Maintains donor safety by monitoring for reactions and documenting incidents.
  • Records donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work environment and adheres to HSE/OSHA policies.
  • May cross-train other areas as needed and may require overtime.
