Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, administer approved immunizations, and provide limited emergency care in a plasma donation center.

The role includes interviewing donors, reviewing medical histories, and responding to medically related questions in collaboration with the Center Medical Director. Strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and donor education.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure in a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school.
• Foreign medical school graduate with current license or EMT certification if applicable.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to assess physical heart/lung signs and other health indicators.
• Ability to instruct donors, staff and community about plasma donation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer and supervise approved immunizations.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff.
• Promote positive donor relations.
• Conduct confidential donor interviews for suitability.
• Respond to medically related questions with Center Medical Director/Physician.
• Review donor health data and test results for suitability.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and referrals.
• Explain informed consent to donors.
• Handle emergencies per SOPs and maintain supplies.
• Record donor data accurately in the donor information system.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with HSE/OSHA policies.
