Job summary

CSL Vifor seeks a licensed healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, administer immunizations, and provide emergency care in a plasma center.

You will conduct confidential donor interviews, review medical histories, interpret test results, and counsel on reactive results while maintaining records per SOPs and ensuring safety and donor confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a health care environment or clinical experience from vocational or nursing program
• Experience in plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred
• Ability to perform physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer and supervise approved immunizations other than red blood cell immunizations.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews.
• Respond to medically related questions with Center Medical Director/Physician.
• Review donor screening results to determine continued suitability.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
• Explain informed consent procedures to donors and obtain consent.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic management system.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with SOPs and regulatory policies.
