Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis, administer approved immunizations, and perform donor interviews and health assessments. You will respond to medically related questions with physicians and maintain documentation in the donor information system.

The role requires active licensure (paramedic/nurse/PA, or physician), with preferred experience in plasma collection centers.

Qualifications

• Active licensure in paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school is required.
• Foreign allopathic/osteopathic medical degree and current state license or EMT certification is required.
• Minimum of one year experience in a health care environment or clinical training.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center preferred.
• Ability to assess physical signs and conduct health assessments.
• Ability to instruct donors and staff on plasma donation benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and supervise immunizations.
• Promote positive donor relations with all donors.
• Conduct confidential donor interviews to assess suitability.
• Coordinate with Center Medical Director/Physician on medical questions for staff.
• Review donor test results to determine continued suitability.
• Explain informed consent, procedures, risks, and immunization schedules to donors.
• Handle medical emergencies per SOPs and maintain emergency kits.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic system.
• Ensure a clean, safe work environment and inventory of supplies.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and support immunization programs.
