Qualifikationen

• Active state licensure from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school required or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year experience in a health care environment or clinical experience.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to assess a physical examination of heart and lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.
• Ability to instruct donors, staff and community about plasma donation benefits.
• Qualifications may vary based on local legal/educational requirements.

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and administer approved immunizations as licensed.
• Promote positive donor relations and conduct confidential donor interviews for suitability assessment.
• Review donor screening results and health assessments to ensure ongoing donor suitability.
• Respond to medically related questions with Center Medical Director or Physician.
• Notify and counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up when needed.
• Explain informed consent and obtain signatures from donors.
