Zusammenfassung

CSL Plasma is seeking a qualified healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision and to provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff in accordance with licensure.

You will interview donors, perform medical history reviews, assess donor reactions to tests, counsel on reactive results, and escalate critical cases to the Center Physician or local medical providers following SOPs.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of one year relevant experience in a health care environment.
• Experience in a plasma or whole blood collection center or other regulated environment preferred.
• Ability to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.

Aufgaben

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medications per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine donation suitability.
• In conjunction with the Center Medical Director, respond to medically related questions and provide information on donor suitability.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms that may affect donation.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results; refer donors for follow-up and counseling.
• Provide routine care following SOPs; escalate critical medical situations to Center Physician or local medical providers as required.

Ausbildung

Paramedic or Nursing or PA program

Medical school grad with licensure
