Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a healthcare professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors, review medical histories, and assess test results to ensure safe, eligible plasma donation.

Working under the Center Medical Director, you will escalate critical medical situations and counsel donors on reactive results, directing them to appropriate follow-up services as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• Licensure or certification as a physician or state EMT for foreign medical graduates.
• State licensure or reciprocal licensure where applicable (e.g., NY RN/MD/DO).
• Minimum one year of relevant healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews for donation suitability.
• Consult with Center Medical Director on donor suitability questions.
• Review test results and monitor donor health for continued suitability.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and refer to appropriate facilities.
• Provide routine care following SOPs and escalate critical cases to Center Physician.

Education

Paramedic, nursing, PA, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training

Physician licensure or state certification for foreign medical graduates

RN/MD/DO licensure in NY or reciprocal state
