BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Greensboro, NC. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety and adverse events, and review laboratory test results under physician guidance.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the home state (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, and blood testing with SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and assist in emergencies with standing orders and transport to care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues, donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for further evaluation by occupational health/ER; reference EHS guidance.
