Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Greensboro, NC, seeks a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations, determine donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results. • Must have EMT/nursing licensure or certification as applicable in the state.
• FDA bioLife training completion is required.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, HIV education and self-exclusion, medical history interview and eligibility review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.

Education

EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN
