BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to ensure donor eligibility, safety, and compliance across our plasma donation centers. You will operate under Center Manager guidance and collaborate with Center Physicians to support medical and EHS needs.

The role requires nursing licensure in the state, CPR/AED, and 2+ years in clinical settings, with training specific to BioLife procedures.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent including a recognized nursing program.
• Current RN, NP, or PA license/certification in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs, including center physician standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu) as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER; refer to EHS guidance as needed.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations related to pandemics.
