Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Phlebotomist to greet donors, perform venipuncture, and oversee plasmapheresis procedures. You will monitor donors for reactions and manage data entry in the Donor Information System, ensuring smooth center operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to stand for long shifts, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Training will cover equipment setup and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years minimum experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
• Perform venipuncture of donors and programming of plasmapheresis machines.
• Monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions.
• Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within training scope.
• Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
• Stock supplies, break down cartons and assist with proper disposal.
• Take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, temperature; monitor DIS.
• Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS).
• Coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors using Debit Card system.
• Support center management in identifying operational opportunities via 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen.
