Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Egg Harbor, NJ.

You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review lab results, and coordinate with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs on medical issues. This role emphasizes patient safety, regulatory compliance, and teamwork in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program.
• Licensed or certified in the state: RN, NP, or PA.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, consent, medical history, and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support employee vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and investigations if needed.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
