Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Milwaukee seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, and review laboratory test results under the supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will support regulatory requirements, participate in vaccination programs, and uphold EHS guidelines in a fast-paced center focused on quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified per state requirements (RN/NP/PA).
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Completion of FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history, physical exam, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with occupational health/EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
