BioLife Plasma Services in Janesville, WI is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to assist the Plasma Center Manager and Center Physician in ensuring donor safety and regulatory compliance.

You will perform donor eligibility assessments, manage adverse events, review laboratory results, and support vaccination programs for staff, all within a busy donation center environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from a recognized program.
• LPN or LVN license in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State licensure in basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialists training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility via consent, medical history interview, physical exam, and test review.
• Manage donor adverse events and initiate medical emergency protocols.
• Review lab results and notify donors of unsuitable outcomes.
• Refer medical issues to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for staff (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Coordinate occupational health/ER pathways for incidents and evaluations.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
