Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Mount Pleasant, WI is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support center operations, ensure donor safety, and determine eligibility under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Responsibilities include eligibility assessment, medical history interviews, physical exam oversight, donor reaction evaluation, and coordination of emergency care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or nursing program graduation with state requirements.
• Licensed or certified as LPN/LVN in the practice state.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, and medical history interview.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Consult with Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical issues.
• Support vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage incidents and coordinate referrals to occupational health or ER.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
• Provide center-level support for EHS initiatives.
