Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Burleson, TX to support daily center operations and determine donor eligibility, with oversight from the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will review laboratory test results, manage donor reactions, assist with vaccination programs for staff, and ensure adherence to SOPs and FDA training requirements. A clinical background and current LPN/LVN license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved nursing program.
• Current LPN/LVN license in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification on file.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements.
• Perform physical examinations, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs; refer to physicians as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and handle occupational health issues.
• Assist with center EHS and incident reporting as applicable.
