BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review test results, and coordinate with Center Manager and Center Physician. A nursing license (LPN/LVN), CPR/AED, and IV therapy training are required.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state as LPN or LVN.
• CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Aufgaben

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements.
• Review donor laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results as needed.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer medical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as applicable.
• Support vaccination programs (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu) for employees.
• Assist with occupational health/ER incident management and EHS guidance.
