Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Burleson, Texas is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review laboratory results, and handle donor communications under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

This role requires a nursing background, current LPN/LVN licensure, CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to include graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Current state license/certification as LPN or LVN
• CPR and AED certification current
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, exposure history, and donor acceptance.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review lab results and communicate unsuitable results to donors.
• Refer medical or technical issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; assist as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
