Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, LP in Abilene, TX, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician.

The role requires an LPN/LVN license, CPR/AED certification, and at least two years in a clinical setting. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized nursing program.
• Current LPN/LVN license or state certification is required.
• CPR and AED certification must be current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-mandated training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and donor history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Communicate results and guidance with Center Physician or Medical Affairs.
• Support vaccination programs and occupational health needs.
• Assist incident reporting and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) guidelines.
