Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under Center Manager guidance.

Role includes collaboration with Center Physician and Medical Affairs, participation in EHS processes, and support for vaccination programs. Requires nursing licensure and clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Must have LPN or LVN license in the state of responsibilities.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs; coordinate with Center Physician.
• Refer complex findings to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Assist with occupational health/EHS incident procedures and pandemic coordination when authorized.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent including graduate nursing program (state requirements)
