Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Texas. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Responsibilities include evaluating donor reactions, following SOPs for emergencies, and supporting vaccination programs while coordinating with Medical Affairs for medical issues. A clinical background in nursing is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program education.
• Current LPN or LVN licensure in the appropriate state.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Ability to perform basic IV therapy per state requirements.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history, and testing review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage worker incidents with EHS guidance; assist in pandemic investigations when needed.
