BioLife Plasma Services in Humble, TX seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage adverse events, and support center operations under Center Manager guidance and Center Physician oversight.

Qualifications include licensure as RN/NP/PA, CPR/AED, IV therapy capability, FDA-approved training, and at least two years in a clinical/hospital setting. This role operates in a regulated plasma collection environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program requirements.
• Current RN/NP/PA licensure in the responsible state.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist completed.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical examination, blood testing and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reaction(s) per SOPs and coordinate medical emergencies with Center Physician standing orders and donor transport to care.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs when disclosing findings or guidance on medical/technical issues including donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees where applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and advise on occupational health/ER evaluations; refer to EHS guidance.
• Potentially serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements

Licensed/ certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: RN, NP or PA
