Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Humble, TX is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support center operations and donor care. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and ensure proper donor communication under the supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

You will participate in regulatory compliance, safety programs and training to sustain high-quality plasma collection.

Qualifications

• Licensed practical or vocational nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state of duties.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Basic IV therapy capability per state requirements.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and screening.
• Assess donor adverse events and manage immediate care per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and communicate outcomes to donors.
• Notify donors of unsuitable test results and document actions.
• Support vaccination programs and comply with EHS guidelines; escalate medical issues to Center Physician.
