Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Humble, TX seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory results, and notify donors of unsuitable outcomes, under supervision of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

Reporting to the Center Manager, you will adhere to regulatory standards, assist with vaccination programs, and participate in EHS initiatives while delivering

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN/LVN license in the state of responsibilities.
• Current CPR and AED certifications are required.
• Experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
• Familiarity with donor screening, informed consent, and medical history interview procedures.
• Knowledge of FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist is expected.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion.
• Manage donor adverse events and assess donor reactions per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and communicate unsuitable outcomes to donors.
• Provide center-level support for environmental, health and safety matters.
• Support vaccination programs and coordinate with Center Physician for medical issues.
