Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Chattanooga is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, manage donor safety, and coordinate with physicians. The role requires LPN/LVN licensure, CPR/AED, IV therapy, and 2 years clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved nursing program with state licensure.
• Licensed or certified as LPN/LVN in the state of assignment.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Completion of FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education and confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements.
• Perform physical examination, blood testing, and review SPE results as part of donor screening.
• Evaluate donor reactions and respond per SOPs; coordinate with Center Physician as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and manage occupational health incidents.
• Assist in center operations under Center Manager and Center Physician guidance; participate in EHS activities.
