Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under supervision.

Role requires current LPN/LVN license, CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting. The position is full-time at a BioLife center under Takeda support with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent to including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
• Licensed or certified in the state as LPN or LVN
• Current CPR and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
• FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance criteria, physical examination, blood testing, and SPE review
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage medical emergencies and donor transport
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
• Manage employee incidents and determine need for occupational health/ER involvement
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support investigations with EHS/Medical Affairs
