Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in Milwaukee, WI. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review lab results, and communicate unsuitable test outcomes under physician guidance.

You will work under the Center Manager and Center Physician, leveraging your RN license, CPR/AED certification, and clinical experience to ensure donor safety and program compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and graduate nursing program per state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified as RN in the applicable state.
• CPR and AED certifications.
• Satisfactorily complete FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer complex issues to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed.
• Support vaccination programs for employees (Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu).
• Monitor and document donor test results and safety.
