BioLife Plasma Services is hiring a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage adverse events under the Center Manager and Center Physician. Training and compliance with EHS standards are required.

The role emphasizes donor service, safety, and adherence to regulatory guidelines within a Takeda-backed plasma center network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with nursing program graduate requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified as RN, NP, or PA in the relevant state.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training completed.
• At least two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, history, and testing reviews.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for staff.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator if authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
