Job summary

CSL Plasma in Rapid City, SD seeks a Plasma Processing Technician to evaluate donor suitability for pheresis, administer immunizations, and provide routine emergency medical care. You will interview donors, assist medical staff, maintain donor data in the sectioned system, and uphold safety and SOP standards.

Preferred candidates have active licensure in paramedicine, nursing, PA, or medical degrees, plus health-care experience in a plasma or blood center setting.

Qualifications

• Active state licensure from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school.
• Minimum one year in a health care environment or clinical training.
• Experience in a plasma or blood collection center is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Administer approved immunizations and provide limited emergency medical care.
• Conduct confidential donor interviews to obtain suitability information.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic management system.
• Promote positive donor relations and comply with SOPs and OSHA policies.
• Respond to medically related questions with Center Medical Director/Physician.
