BioLife Plasma Services in Columbus, GA seeks a Medical Support Specialist to ensure donor eligibility, monitor adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable tests. This role reports to the Center Manager and collaborates with the Center Physician on medical issues.

Candidates should hold EMT/paramedic or RN/LPN licenses, CPR/AED certification, and have clinical experience. FDA training and two years in a clinical setting are required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent with state nursing program requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state of responsibilities (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Satisfactorily complete FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Mansioni

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, medical history, physical exam, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage emergencies with center physicians.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents per EHS guidance and escalation.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
