Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Appleton, WI. You will determine donor eligibility, review test results, and manage donor safety under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

The role requires licensing in the state and experience in a clinical setting, with CPR/AED certification. You will support vaccination programs and ensure compliance with EHS guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized nursing program.
• Currently licensed/certified in the state: EMT-B, EMT-A, EMT-I, EMT-P, LPN/LVN, RN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and accept/decline criteria.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Provide center-level medical guidance with Center Manager and Medical Affairs as applicable.
