Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations in Appleton, WI. You will determine donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable findings, all under the direction of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

We require state licensure (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN), CPR/AED certification, and FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist, plus at least two years in a

Qualifications

• State licensure or certification in the responsibility state (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent and donor history review.
• Monitor donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Review lab test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Support EHS and vaccination programs for staff as applicable.

Education

Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-A)

Paramedic (EMT-P)

Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN)
