Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state as LPN or LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history.
• Evaluate donor reactions per standard operating procedures.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings.
• Support vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents according to EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when needed.
