Job summary

POET in Marion, OH seeks a Plant Technician to operate and maintain processing equipment in a highly automated bioprocessing facility. You will perform routine maintenance and assist with electrical troubleshooting while adhering to SOPs and safety rules.

Responsibilities include operating the DCS, logging data, and maintaining QA/QC samples, with 12-hour shifts and on-site work. Strong problem-solving and basic math are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred for Technician I.
• Documented progression to Technician II/III with proven performance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant processing equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Safely troubleshoot electrical issues and document activities.
• Use the DCS and log results in the data system (PI).
• Follow startup/shutdown/cleaning/batching procedures.
• Maintain logs and QA/QC samples; adjust operations as needed.
