Job summary

POET in North Manchester, IN is seeking a Plant Technician to operate plant processing equipment, perform basic maintenance, and follow SOPs in a highly automated bioprocessing facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred for Plant Technician I/II/III levels.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities; basic math and mechanical reasoning expected.
• Experience with software systems such as Maximo is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and QA/QC results in data systems.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and equipment repairs as needed.
• Follow SOPs for start-up/shut-down, cleaning, and batching.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities and safety practices.
