Job summary

POET in North Manchester, IN seeks a Plant Technician to operate and maintain processing equipment in a highly automated facility. The role requires 12-hour shifts, safety awareness, and adherence to SOPs for start-up, shut-down, cleaning, and batching.

Responsibilities include operating the DCS, performing basic electrical troubleshooting, logging results, and supporting preventive maintenance. Candidates should be able to work rotating days/nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are required.
• Experience with software systems, such as Maximo, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant processing equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Maintain and repair equipment and document activities.
• Operate the DCS for the plant.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and follow SOPs.
• Maintain accurate logs and QA/QC samples as required.
• Assist in preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment.
