Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Factory Supply Chain Manager in Fairfield, CA to lead end-to-end material flow, production planning, and inventory control in a high-volume plant. You will drive SAP-based planning, mentor production schedulers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and data accuracy.

The role requires strong leadership in a union manufacturing setting, deep SAP expertise across PP/MM/WM/EWM, and a track record of continuous improvement in lean

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on SAP experience, particularly in SAP PP, SAP MM, SAP WM, and SAP EWM modules, with the ability to use the system directly for planning and inventory control.
• Strong background in materials management, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory management.
• Expertise in MRP and material planning processes to support efficient and reliable production operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end material flow management from inbound raw materials through production, WIP, finished goods, and outbound distribution.
• Own and direct production planning, master scheduling, and capacity planning to meet demand, optimize throughput, and support on-time delivery.
• Manage raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels to ensure accuracy, availability, and alignment with production and demand plans.
• Oversee inventory control processes including cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, inventory audits, and physical inventory to maintain high data integrity.
• Utilize SAP and other ERP systems to drive production planning, material planning (MRP), inventory management, and warehouse operations.
• Lead the Production Planning function, including direct oversight of Production Schedulers, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
