Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Operations Manager in the United States to oversee customer service, production planning, materials planning, inventory control, logistics and warehousing in a large plant. You will drive ERP-enabled control of inventories, scheduling and deliveries while promoting safety, quality and superior customer service.

The role requires five years in materials or operations in manufacturing, APICS/CSCMP certification preferred, and strong SAP and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• Minimum five years in materials or operations within manufacturing, preferably plastics packaging.
• APICS/CSCMP or comparable certification preferred.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, inventory management, and cost control.
• Understanding of distribution, transportation, and customer service principles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer requirements, orders, complaints, and escalation when needed.
• Oversee production schedule to meet customer deadlines and capacity plans.
• Manage logistics, carrier partnerships, and incident notifications.
• Direct warehouse activities and optimize storage usage.
• Plan raw material procurement and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Generate reports on inventory and production performance and drive improvements.
• Ensure safety policies and a safe work environment.
• Lead and develop direct reports and manage talent.
