Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced planning leader to manage all operations planning functions, including raw materials, production scheduling and inventory, to meet customer service expectations.

You will partner with customer service, sales, and production, prioritize demand, monitor run rates, and drive continuous improvements in throughput and costs.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in business/ops, APICS and Lean Six Sigma, and several years in manufacturing planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations management or related field.
• APICS and/or operations and supply chain certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory/leadership experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, production planning or operations.
• Lean six sigma training; Green Belt beneficial.
• Experience with SAP, ERP and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage demand prioritization with customer service and sales.
• Schedule orders on machines to meet ship dates.
• Communicate delays to Customer Service promptly.
• Review backlog and balance with Production.
• Coordinate daily with Production Supervisors on schedules.
• Set priorities for jobs, work centers, and run times.
• Maintain inventory levels to ensure timely delivery while controlling costs.
• Enter work orders into the scheduling system / JDE.
• Monitor progress of key orders and identify delays.
• Collaborate with maintenance for preventive maintenance planning.
• Handle all planning issues.
