Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor to coach a warehouse team toward productivity, quality, and safety while meeting budgets and timelines.

The role involves training, performance reviews, and enforcing company policies on the shop floor. The position requires strong leadership, forklift/warehouse experience, and the ability to manage safety procedures, with responsibilities that include directing work, maintaining records, and coordinating with internal/external

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills (HS diploma or equivalent).
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
• Ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
• This role requires proven leadership and team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Meet production and distribution objectives and deadlines within budget.
• Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
• Coordinate, assign, and review work.
• Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
• Ensure all team members receive required safety instruction.
• Maintain timely communications with customers and suppliers.
• Record keeping and other administrative duties as required.
• Report accidents or incidents to the Operations Manager within 24 hours.
• Monitor working conditions to ensure team safety and take corrective action.
• Apply problem solving techniques (examples: 8D; 5 Why; Kaizen).
• Other duties assigned by Operations or Plant Manager.
