Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a seasoned warehouse supervisor to lead a team toward higher productivity, quality, and safety. You will recruit, train, and coach staff while ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, with a focus on fair treatment and clear communication.

The role involves direct floor work, continuous safety oversight, and performance management. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 2–3 years of supervisory experience and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
• Ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
• Demonstrates leadership and team-building skills, even outside business settings.

Responsibilities

• Meet all production and distribution objectives within the established budget.
• Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure targets are met.
• Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
• Ensure all team members receive required safety instruction and follow procedures.
• Maintain timely, effective communications with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Report accidents or incidents to the Operations Manager within 24 hours.
• Monitor working conditions and take timely corrective action as needed.
• Apply problem solving techniques (8D; 5 Why; Kaizen) to resolve issues.
• Perform other duties assigned by Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
• This role works on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
• Meet company attributes/competencies.
