thyssenkrupp Materials Services is seeking a Supervisor to coach a team, ensure productivity, quality and safety, and meet deadlines and budgets. The role includes hiring and training, maintaining high performance, and taking corrective action as needed.

It is a safety-sensitive position on the warehouse floor. Qualified candidates will have basic math/reading skills, forklift and warehouse experience, and leadership abilities.

Competenze

• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
• Demonstrates ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience.
• Warehouse experience with forklift, packing and measuring.
• Demonstrates leadership and team-building skills.

Mansioni

• Meet all production and distribution objectives and deadlines within budget.
• Teach, coach and demonstrate work activities for team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
• Coordinate, assign, and review work.
• Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
• Ensure safety procedures and company policies are followed.
• Maintain timely, effective communications with customers and suppliers.
• Responsible for record keeping and administrative duties.
• Report accidents or incidents to the Operations Manager within 24 hours.
• Monitor working conditions for safety and take corrective action.
• Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve personnel and quality issues.
• Other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Manager.
• Position works on warehouse floor near heavy machinery.
