Your responsibilities
Job Summary

To coach and otherwise guide a team of employees to achieve optimum levels of productivity, quality, and safety while meeting operational deadlines and budgets. This typically includes recruiting and hiring qualified employees and ensuring that they receive all necessary training and education. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for maintaining a motivational work environment through appropriate goal setting, operating principles, communication, and fair treatment of all employees. As necessary, the supervisor must take action to correct poor performance and poor behavior that puts the employee or team at risk or impacts the team's ability to achieve its objectives.

This position works with our BMW location in Greer, SC. The shift is Sunday-Friday, 6:30 PM - 5:30 AM.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Meet all production and distribution objectives and deadlines within the established budget.
  • Teach, coach, and demonstrate work activities for team members.
  • Responsible for conducting performance reviews and disciplinary functions.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work.
  • Direct staff on priority of work to be accomplished.
  • Ensure all team members receive required instruction in safety procedures, proper use of equipment, performance standards, disciplinary processes, and other workplace and company policies.
  • Maintain timely, effective, and professional communication with all internal and external customers and suppliers.
  • Handle administrative duties such as record keeping and filing.
  • Report accidents or incidents immediately and forward reports to the Operations Manager within 24 hours.
  • Monitor working conditions to ensure safety; take corrective and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to resolve personnel and quality issues promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations or Plant Manager.
  • This role involves working directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
  • Meet TKMNA employee attributes and competencies.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with basic math and reading skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate with management, sales staff, and warehouse personnel.
  • Ability to understand equipment and tolerances based on past experience and performance.
  • Warehouse experience with forklift operation, packing, and measuring.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, even from unrelated fields.
  • Safety mindset.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of metals handling regarding staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
  • First aid and CPR training.
  • Exposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, lean practices, and sales functions.
Job Compensation

$52,000.00
